CHUCKY'S EVERGREEN GARDEN IS DOING WELL - THE IVY IS STARTING TO FLOURISH - IT HAD ALMOST BEAUTIFULLY COVERED THE BEAT-UP FENCE A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER WHEN A DEEP COLD KILLED MOST OF IT OFF - MY WONDERFUL TREE-TRAINED GOLDEN EUONYMUS, STAR OF THE GARDEN, CAUGHT A BUG WHICH COULD NOT BE ELIMINATED BUT I LEARNED IT COULD BE CONTROLLED BY SPRAYING REGULARLY WITH WINDEX OR DILUTE AMMONIA - THOSE THINGS PLUS THE SERIES OF FAILED PLANTS (THE POOR FILL SOIL WAS ALMOST LIKE CEMENT) OVER THE YEARS MADE IT A VERY DIFFICULT GARDEN - A JOHN CHUCKMAN IMAGE
